Congratulations Commander Mark B. Benjamin!
A few months ago, I was in new members class at church with a sweet woman, Bernadette Benjamin and her son Bradley. Her husband was out to sea and Justin was as well. We sat together and chatted about boat life and the Navy. Since then, we have become good friends. I received an invitation in the mail the other day from the Benjamin Family... for Mark's Change of Command ceremony! I was surprised and excited to be invited!
The Change of Command was today at Pier 3 at Naval Base Norfolk. It was a wonderful affair and I am so honored to be friends with such wonderful people. The men of the USS Montpelier are lucky to have the leadership of CDR Benjamin.
