From this Day Forward...

Justin and I were married on December 22, 2008 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Morgantown, West Virginia. The day was magical and everything we had hoped and dreamed it would be... and so much more. We feel incredibly blessed to be married and to have the amazing opportunity to go through life together, side by side, as husband and wife. We could not be any happier or more excited about this new chapter in our lives.
Our big day was shared with our loving family and friends on a frigid West Virginia December day. Our small intimate ceremony officiated by Pastor Brian Bennett was incredibly special. We celebrated our marriage with an amazing party at the Kirkpatrick's home where we partied the night away with special family and friends. We ended the day with a drive to Hidden Valley Four Seasons Resort in Hidden Valley, Pennsylvania for our honeymoon. We are proud to say that we are Mr. and Mrs. Kirkpatrick and we look forward to an eternity or love and happiness together.

Tacky Christmas Sweater Party!

This year, I was in charge of planning Everest College's staff Christmas Party. While at dinner one night, my friend and co-worker Delynn and I though up a terrific theme for the bash... tacky Christmas sweater party! I borrowed a sweater that my Nana has had since the 80's I think and others shopped the local thrift stores and made their own tacky sweaters! It was a fun night and everyone definitely enjoyed themselves. The Sheraton Oceanfront Virginia Beach did a wonderful job and prepared a lovely feast for us all.

Delynn, Angelica, and me at the party

Angelica won the tackiest sweater of the night!

Christmas Lights

This weekend, I put up Christmas lights outside! I can't wait for Justin to come home and see them. Everyone in our neighborhood has decorated. With the wonderful warm temperatures that we have been having lately, I enjoyed a nice walk around the neighborhood and checked out everyone's festive decorations. I just love Christmas time...

It's Beginning to Look alot Like Christmas!

Justin was headed back out to sea for a bit but before he left, we managed to find time to buy a tree and decorate for Christmas! I love how a house looks during the holidays! Simply beautiful! We are so proud of our first Christmas tree! Merry Christmas!

Moving Day!

As posted below, our families helped me move on the day after Thanksgiving. It was an exciting, and even more so for Justin who got to drive the big U-haul! :-)

"Lauren's Place at the Beach" no more!

The day after Thanksgiving, my Mom, Nana and Justin, Sally, Mike, and Megan helped me to officially move out of my condo and into Justin's townhouse. I loved living 7 blocks from the beach and will miss my frequent runs to the Virginia Beach boardwalk. I am however excited for this new journey that Justin and I are embarking on. 421 Marsh Duck Way is home no more... Hello Ridgely Manor!
